Telecom company’s wireless unit jump starts fall shopping season with customer-inspired offer
Ridgeland, Miss. (October 20, 2016) – The holidays can be one of the most challenging times of the year as consumers juggle work, social events and shopping for friends and family members, but C Spire is making it simple and easy this year with free mobile service until 2017.
The wireless unit for the diversified telecommunications and technology services firm has rolled out the limited time offer as a way to help remove some of the stress and cost associated with holiday technology gift giving, which is expected to jump 6 percent this year, according to a recent study by the Consumer Technology Association.

More consumers switch wireless carriers during the holiday shopping season than at any other time of the year, according to research studies. Technology spending is expected to reach $36.05 billion during the 2016 holiday season – led by purchases of smartphones, headphones, laptops, tablets, smart TVs and video game consoles.
The C Spire offer extends to new activations and upgrades on post-paid accounts that use the company’s device payment plan. All shared data plans currently offered by the company qualify for the offer. However, home phone, tablet and data card lines are not eligible.
